| Bishop's Stortford is an old
Hertfordshire market town dating back to Norman times.
The town grew up around the River Stort and has a good
range of shops, a cinema, bowling, swimming pool and
many restaurants. A weekly market stretches from one
end of the town to the other. The area is surrounded
by rural countryside and there are many pleasant walks
