Beech Farm Cottages are in the small village of Wrelton in the valley leading up to Rosedale Abbey and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park (2 miles up the lane).  The village, which was listed in the Doomsday Book, faces south sheltered from the exposed moor land weather.  It is also far enough away from the coast not to suffer from the sea mists.  The nearest town is Pickering, 3 miles away. 
Within a very short drive of Beech Farm you will discover a wealth of places to visit and activities to pursue.  These include open moors, forests, coastal walks, beaches, abbeys castles, historic buildings, seaside resorts, market towns and small villages.  Activities easily available are walking, riding, cycling, swimming, fishing, karting, paintballing, off-road 4x4, golf etc.
