| Private wing of 200 year old house situated
in a quiet residential area just five minutes walk from the picturesque
riverside village of Riberac. The wood paneled sitting room has a high ceiling and includes a double bed settee, dining furniture. A staircase leads up to the mezzanine floor with double bed (extra single folding bed available). Kitchen with table-top oven, two-ring hob, fridge, electric kettle and toaster. Shower room with wc, washbasin and washing machine. Private off-road parking and steps to garden. Personal south-facing sun terrace with barbecue, dining furniture and sun loungers. Rest of garden shared with owners. Bed linen and towels supplied. Electricity included. Riberac has a good choice of bars, shops and restaurants and a colourful Friday market which attracts people from all the outlying villages. |

Riberac is
in an area of natural rural beauty. The local landscape is dotted with
pretty villages surrounded by vineyards, cornfields and, in July, August
and September, fields of bright yellow sunflowers. Nearby Brantome is
known as the "Venice of France" with its beautiful
old buildings, famous restaurants and many bridges. The beautiful town
of Perigueux is just a half hour drive and
Bergerac is less than
an hour away. The coastal resort of Arcachon with its amazing
sand dune, is less than two hours and the city of Bordeaux is just an
hour and a half. There are many areas nearby to swim or take boat trips on the river. At the lovely Lac Jemaye, you can swim, picnic, enjoy the forest trim track or watch the birds and the wild tortoises at the special hides and viewing points. The area is steeped in history and has many chateaux and fascinating prehistoric caves to visit. Horse riding nearby. Flights available to Bergerac from Birmingham, Bristol , Stansted and Southampton |
