The Coachman's Lodge is one of five, fascinating self catering houses nestled in the grounds of the Chateau des Barres in the picturesque village of Vernoil-le-Fourrier near Saumur.

This beautiful holiday accommodation has been lovingly restored to a luxurious standard and furnished with many antiques. The Coachman's Lodge can be rented as a 6, 4 or 3 bedroomed accommodation.
This large cottage resides within the walled garden of the Chateau and offers a pleasant and secure environment for children to play. The Lodge sleeps up to 14. Cots and high chairs are available.
This Chateau accommodation is located on the edge of the village and forest. It is surrounded by vineyards, apple orchards and sunflower fields. Chateau des Barres is situated just 17km north of the historic town of Saumur on the banks of the Loire. The area has many local attractions and is an ideal family location.

Location of Loire Holiday Cottage

The immediate area around the Coachman's Lodge Cottage offers lovely villages, market towns and superb countryside. There are some superb restaurants all within easy driving distance. There are many activities to suit all tastes including, horse riding, cycling, swimming, walking and watersports.
The cottage is only 15 minutes drive from the historic town of Saumur. The town is an interesting mixture of modern shops, paved walkways, markets and an old town. Futuroscope is only an hour and a half away and many theme parks, zoos and natural attractions all within one hours drive.
