Glen Lyon is the ideal base frpm which to explore Perthshire, Stirlingshire and the Grampian Mountains.The cottage is on a sheep farming estate which also has a herd of wild deer. Pets are allowed, but must be kept under strict supervision. Non-smokers only.

There is also a post office/tea room at nearby Bridge of Balgie. The highland countryside, which surrounds Ben Grianan Cottage, offers a wealth of opportunity. Besides walking there is salmon fishing and pony treking.
